I've been taking an extended break from my TextFugu studies to kind of help myself slow down with studying. So I've been going through the Elementary Japanese book and taking (handwritten, ugh) notes. So there will be a lot of probably short blog updates coming so that I don't post one huge one sorry not… Continue reading Lots of Random Updates~ (Elementary Japanese Book)

Sentence Enders
こんにちは!お元気ですか。Wahhhh! Okay, so I'm moving right along with my TextFugu studies. I can honestly say from the past 3 or so years, this is the most that I've been motivated and the furthest I've ever been with actually learning, season 3 has been no joke. This bit we're covering sentence ender よ, sentence ender ね,… Continue reading Sentence Enders
I started a second blog..
It's reviewing any sort of media that I'm consuming, whether it be books, tv, music, and podcasts. Oh boy I listen to lots of podcasts lol. If this is something you'd be interested in, click on the button below :)! I've only got one post up so far, but I felt inspired last night. I've… Continue reading I started a second blog..
Ah, life…
So I get most of my studying done at work (shhhhh.... don't tell on me.) Mostly because I'm so tired when I get home & I still gotta cook. Anyways, I started IF (intermittent fasting) last night and I'm doing a 14-10 schedule. Wish me luck! I need to get myself back on track with… Continue reading Ah, life…
Verbs (part 2)
Since I learned the most basic of basics in the part one of verbs last week, I'll be moving on to the tenses this week. Past tense verbs ました is the first conjugation of ます。ました replaces ます when the verb is past tense (positive.) It's like replacing です with ではありません or じゃありません. にほんごをはなします。 ー> I speak… Continue reading Verbs (part 2)
Particles を & に and adding in verbs
These particles will be used with the verbs that I will be learning as I progress. を shows us the action we're providing to the direct object. In the last post, I used this as an example of usage for the verb to eatサンドイッチを食べます。So the teal color shows the direct object (sandwich), the bold black… Continue reading Particles を & に and adding in verbs
Verbs (Part 1)
I've done a lot up until now without learning anything about verbs. This chapter seems pretty interesting and somehow less complicated than learning verb conjugation in German. I may take that back later, but right now it stands true. This chapter talks about how verbs go with grammar and the different tenses we will use… Continue reading Verbs (Part 1)
To love and hate (softening the blow), turning it into questions, and の using the particle
The words love and hate are very strong. To lessen the strength of the sentence and turn it into a like/dislike type of thing use じゃありません instead of です。薬が好きじゃありません。あめがきらいじゃりません。 To turn these words into a question use か。あめすきですか。 You can use the の particle as well. This will allow you to talk about your things… Continue reading To love and hate (softening the blow), turning it into questions, and の using the particle
To hate and to really hate (and including が)
きらい ー> to hate大きらい ー>to really hate (big hate) This is similar where you will use the particle が to emphasize what you hate. せいじがきらいです。I hate politics.どうけしが大きらいです。I really hate clowns.
To like, to really like, including は&が
すき- to like (the "u" is not prominently pronounced, so it sounds more like "ski" instead of "suki")猫がすきです。The が can be switched out for は, but it will slightly change the meaning.大すき ー to really like (big like)マッシューさんが大好きです。[I really do tho 🙂 hes the bestest.] uwu
