These particles will be used with the verbs that I will be learning as I progress.
を shows us the action we’re providing to the direct object.
In the last post, I used this as an example of usage for the verb to eat
サンドイッチを食べます。So the teal color shows the direct object (sandwich), the bold black is the particle, and yellow is the verb.
に can be used for a number of things, but for now we’re just focusing on verbs. に is used to show an indirect object (i.e. who, what, or where an object is directed to.) The particle に is used with verbs that are associated with motion, places, dates, times, as well as indicate what an object is directed to.
7じにねます(because time is considered as moving you would use the に particle)
ハリーポッターをよみます(because you are reading an object the を particle is used)
ラーメンにたべます(because you are going to a place and are moving the に particle is used)
えいがをみます(because you are reading an object the を particle is used)
