私の母は準拠員です。
私のお父さんはせんせいです。

I threw in a little bit of the “no” particle. I have been using apps, duolingo, hey japan, busuu, etc… They covered the no particle in those. I don’t quite have a solid grasp on it yet, but I think I understand. I’ve also purchased a book to study with. Elementary Japanese Vol 1. It’s got a lot of stuff that I’ve already read (shout out to TextFugu), but I think it’ll be a good addition.
